OSHARE KEI
The word “oshare” means stylish or fashionable. Musically speaking, the sound is more pop or punk and the lyrics and themes are more positive and bright. The Oshare look is more colorful and cute. The clothes too tend to be more like street fashion than other types. Baroque is considered the pioneer of Oshare Kei with their formation in 2001.

This subgenre is a spin on Oshare Kei, being its “black version.”
Most Japanese glam bands today, have turned down the less dramatic androgynous gothic look, and had gone to a more bad boy, sexy. crazy look.
Fun Fact!: A lot of the in Final Fantasy VII characters have their looks based off of Visual Kei.

Punk style is more street friendly, with it's more simple yet unique outfits. When you see someone coming down the street wearing this, they are most likely very bold people. They don't care what anyone thinks of them and make all the old people say. "YOU CRAZY KIDS!"
Most people who wear punk are mostly teenagers, on the weekends in japan. (Epsecially on Sundays.) The school kids have a chance to wear whatever they want. Most popular place to strut your stuff and show your your unique style in Japan as a teenager, is in SHIBUYA!

FUN FACT!
Gackt is a famous Japanese singer and actor, who is also apart of the visual kei movement. He has always been a hardcore Final Fantasy fan.
In 2006. Square Enix had came out with a Final Fantasy VII arc called, "Dirge of Cerberus" for the PS2, following the backstory of Vincent Valentine.
Gackt had sang the theme song for Dirge of Cerberuse called, "Redemption." Not only did he sing the theme song for the game, he also had a character based after him named, Genesis Rhapsodos.
Genesis Rhapsodos has made his debut appearance at the end of Dirge of Cerberus. but had then became the main antagonist, in ANOTHER FFVII story arc called, "Crsis Core" that had came out for the PSP in 2008. The game had followed the story arc of Zack who was the main protagonist and his life in SOLIDER before the present main story in FFVII.
