Ganguro

Ganguro is the style that has started the movement! The god style of gal.

This is a dead style though is still heavily admired in Gyaru culture.

(And no this style is not making fun of American girls.)

This style was the style had had started the rebellion with dark skin, light colored eyes, bright hair, and skimpy clothing.

High school girls would go to school with this makeup and even get kicked out because they were not following school dresscode, or having rebellious attitudes.

Ganguro translates to "Blackface" But it is not the kind of blackface that you think. This style is not trying to make anyone look like another race or making fun of another race.

MANBA

Manba is 2nd generation Ganguro. Unlike Ganguro, Manba is more polished and the highlights blend in more with your skin. The standards of manba still apply with dark skin (Don't be scared to use darker foundation if you don't want to tan.) light colored eyes (circle lenses), and standout hairstyles.

Kuro Gal/Banba

Kuro Gal is an underground style (or club style,) that was inspired by old school Ganguro. It is more of a new age style of ganguro and manba. While not having so much of the highlighted makeup. This style mostly focuses on big teased hair called "Sugimori", Skimpy outfits to show off their tans. (A popular clothing brand called d.i.a) and long stiletto nails.
